A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PARTICIPATION OF THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE IN THE NORTHWEST MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE SOLID
WASTE TASK FORCE
WHEREAS, the Northwest Municipal Conference is a corporate organization
representative of municipalities and townships chartered within the State of
Illinois and the County of Cook; and
WHEREAS, Article VII , Section 10, of the Constitution of the State of
Illinois Revised Statutes, authorize and encourage intergovernmental
association and cooperation; and
WHEREAS, the public officials of the Northwest Municipal Conference
represent thirty local government bodies and a population of 775,000
Illinois residents; and
WHEREAS, the issues and problems related to the disposal of Municipal
Solid Waste in this jurisdiction impact all areas of the region; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village recognizes that a cooperative
effort of multiple jurisdictions can address the solid waste disposal
alternatives in the most comprehensive and cost-effective manner;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois, that the Village
of Elk Grove Village shall participate in the Northwest Municipal Conference
Solid Waste Task Force;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Michael J. Cavallini , Village Sanitarian
is hereby appointed as representative of the municipality to the Solid
Waste Task Force;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the financial contribution of the Village
of Elk Grove Village to the program shall not exceed $2,500.00 for the year
beginning May 1 , 1982;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to
the office of the Northwest Municipal Conference.
