A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PARTICIPATION OF THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS "LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCIAL HEALTH PROGRAM"
WHEREAS, most municipal governments in Illinois are faced with growing
financial challenges. Reduction in federal aid and continuing inflation have
combined to make balancing a municipal budget a difficult task; and
WHEREAS, a new automated program of the Illinois Department of Commerce
and Community Affairs (DCCA), called "The Local Government Financial Health
Program", now makes it possible for Illinois municipalities to have current
information on their overall financial trends; and
WHEREAS, the program is designed to assist municipal governments in the
critical areas of financial planning and decision making by applying the
techniques developed by this new program; and
WHEREAS, this program is available to Elk Grove Village at no cost to
the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of Illinois:
Section 1. That the Finance Director of the Village of Elk Grove Village
is hereby authorized to participate in the "Local Government Financial Health
P rogram".
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
