A RESOLUTION URGING THE APPOINTMENT OF WILLIAM GRIFFITH TO THE OFFICE
OF TRUSTEE OF THE METROPOLITAN SANITARY DISTRICT OF GREATER CHICAGO
WHEREAS, a vacancy has occurred in the office of Trustee of the Metropolitan
Sanitary District of Greater Chicago, which vacancy under the laws of the State
of Illinois will be filled by Gubernatorial appointment; and
WHEREAS, William Griffith, a resident of Arlington Heights, Illinois, is
eminently qualified to serve in the office of Trustee of the Metropolitan
Sanitary District of Greater Chicago; and
WHEREAS, William Griffith, because of his background, experience and know-
ledge of the northwest suburban area of Cook County and its special problems and
needs relative to matters under the jurisdiction of the Metropolitan Sanitary
District of Greater Chicago would fairly, ably and responsibly represent the
interests of said area; and
WHEREAS, the residents of the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater
Chicago would be well served and fortunate to have a person of the qualifications
of William Griffith as Trustee of the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater
Chicago;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage?- Illinois, that
Governor James R. Thompson be urged to appoint William Griffith to the -office
of the Trustee of the Metropolitan Sanitary District of Greater Chicago; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that suitable copies of this resolution be sent
to The Honorable ,James R. Thompson, Governor of the State of Illinois.
Section 1. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval according to law.
