RESOLUTION NO. 24-76
A RESOLUTION HONORING AN OUTSTANDING YOUNG ATHLETE AND RESIDENT OF
THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE
WHEREAS, Scott Zettek, a resident of the Village of Elk Grove Village
has received numerous honors as an athlete in both football and wrestling
while attending St. Viators High School; and
WHEREAS, Scott Zettek has been named All American, 1975 and picked
among the "Top 100" in the Nation in football by Coach and Athlete Magazine;
and
WHEREAS, Scott Zettek has been named "All American, 1975" in football
by the Athletic Journal; and
WHEREAS, Scott Zettek has been named the Most Valuable Player for 1975
on the St. Viator High School Football Team; and
WHEREAS, Scott Zettek has made All Conference for 1974 and 1975, All
Area for 1974 and 1975, All State for 1975 and All American for 1975 in
football; and
WHEREAS, Scott Zettek has bee;. named the Most Valuable Wrestler for the
1974/75 and 1975/76 Seasons and All Area for the 1975/76 Season; and
WHEREAS, Scott Zettek placed 5th in the State of Illinois in the 1975/76
Heavyweight Class.in wrestling; and
WHEREAS, Scott Zettek placed 8th in the State of Illinois in the 1974/75
Heavyweight Class in wrestling; and
WHEREAS, Scott Zettek, son of Charles J. Zettek, Village President of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, has been imbued with a sense of leadership.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State of
Illinois, that Scott Zettek is hereby commended as an outstanding citizen
who has brought honor to himself, his family, his school and his community.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Board of Trustees do
hereby extend to Scott Zettek their sincere wishes for his future as a student
at the University of Notre Dame.
