A RESOLUTION TO INCLUDE POLICE CENTRAL DISPATCH SYSTEM PERSONNEL
AS EMPLOYEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE FOR THE PURPOSE OF
OBTAINING THE BENEFITS OF GROUP HEALTH AND LIFE INSURANCE AND
PENSION BENEFITS
WHEREAS, member municipalities of the Northwest Central Dispatch System (CDS)
have, as a primary concern, the provision of adequate group health
and life insurance, and coverage under a qualified pension plan for
CDS employees; and
WHEREAS, member municipalities have determined that the participating munici-
pality with the most comprehensive plan for group health and life
insurance and the lowest rate of pension contribution would accept
the CCS personnel on their payroll and handle the payroll function;
and
WHEREAS, after a thorough review of the group health and life insurance plans
of participating municipalities and the cost of providing pension
benefits under the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF), it
was determined the Village of Elk Grove Village had the best group
health and life insurance at the lowest cost and that the rate of
contribution to the IMRF was lower than the other participating
municipalities; and
WHEREAS, in order for the employees of Central Dispatch System to enjoy group
health and life insurance benefits and the benefits of the IMRF at
the lowest possible cost to participating municipalities, it wasdetermined the Village of Elk Grove Vilage should accept the
employees of Central Dispatch System on its payroll.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Counties of Cook and DuPage, State
of Illinois, that Central Dispatch System personnel, present and
future, shall be included as employees of the Village of Elk Grove
Village for purpose of obtaining the benefits of group health and
life insurance and pension benefits under the Illinois Retirement
Fund, costs incurred to be invoiced to the Central Dispatch System,
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
