RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTICIPATION
BY LOCAL HOUSING OWNER IN THE
FEDERAL RENT SUPPLEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 101, of the Housing and
Urban Development Act of 1965, the Secretary of Housing and Urban
Development is authorized to enter into contracts to make rent supple-
ment payments to certain qualified housing owners on behalf of tenants
requiring rent supplement assistance under Title I, Housing and Urban
Development Act of 1965 (Public Law 89 - 117) as amended, and
WHEREAS, the provisions of said Section 101 cannot be made avail-
able to housing owners in certain localities unless the governing body
of the locality has by resolution given approval of such participation
in the Federal Rent Supplement Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois as follows:
Section 1. That approval is hereby granted for participation in
the Federal Rent Supplement Program to Village Grove Apartment, an
apartment complex to be constructed in Elk Grove Village, Illinois for
the use and occupancy of up to eighty (80) of the units in said complex.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
