A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR OVERTIME COMPENSATION FOR
VILLAGE EMPLOYEES EXCLUSIVE OF THOSE ENGAGED IN FIRE
PROTECTION OR LAW ENFORCEMENT ACTIVITIES
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage:
Section 1: That sub -section B, Section 7, Article 4, The Pay Plan, of
t ei—} personnel rules of Elk Grove Village, adopted by Resolution No. 71-65,
as amended by Resolution No. 74-68, be and is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Effective May 1, 1974 Village Employees, exclusive of those
engaged in Fire Protection or Law Enforcement activities
(as defined in the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as
amended in 1974, 29 CFR Part 553) shall be compensated
at the rate of time and one-half for authorized hours
worked beyond their normal work schedule.
Village Employees designated by the Village PIanager as
Executive, Administrative and/or Professional (as defined
in the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended in 1974)
are specifically exempt and excluded from overtime pay
compensation.
All overtime pay compensation will be in accordance with
the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, as amended in 1974.
Section 2: This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after —its passage and approval according to law.
