A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF
APPROXIMATELY $27,000 TO THE ELK GROVE
PARK DISTRICT TO ENABLE IT TO PURCHASE
PARK AND RECREATIONAL LAND AT THE NORTH
END AREA OF APPROXIMATELY 6.318 ACRES
WHEREAS, the ELK GROVE PARK DISTRICT is seeking to acquire
real estate consisting of 6.318 acres at the North end in the
vicinity of Elk Grove Village, legally described on Exhibit A,
attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Village, in its endeavor to preserve and extend
open spaces has agreed to contribute the sum of $ -717, 744/./o to
said Park District as part of` the purchase price for said property,
and
WHEREAS, the PARK DISTRICT has agreed to annex said property
to the Village and restrict its use to park and recreational
purposes as set forth in a Receipt, Exhibit B attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk GroveVillage, Cook and DuPage
Counties, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That the officers of the Village of Elk Grove
Village be and are hereby authorized and directed to transfer to
the Park District the sum of $
for the purposes set
forth in the preamble of this Resolution, and upon the Park
District's executing a receipt, a copy of which is attached
hereto and marked Exhibit B.
Section 2: That this Resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval, according to
law.

The undersigned, ELF: GROVE PARK DISTRICT, does hereby
receipt for the sum of $ ******x''27,741.10************** , paid it by
the Village of Elk Grove Village.
It is understood and agreed that said sum will be used
to purchase 6.318 acres of land in the north end, a legal des-
cription of which land is attached hereto as Exhibit A, for park
and recreational purposes.
It is understood and agreed by the undersigned Park
District that it will continue to use the property for park and
recreational purposes after purchase, and shall cause a restrictive
covenant to be inserted in the deed conveying the property to
itself, a covenant which will indicate that the property shall be
used solely for park and recreational purposes, with the right of
discontinuance of said use only upon the written consent of the
Village of Elk Grove Village.
It is further understood that said property shall be
annexed to the Village or such steps taken to effect such annex-
ation within thirty (30) days of its purchase by the Park District.
