RESOLUTION NC. 98-73
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE BOARD OF FIRE
AND POLICE COMMISSIONERS OF THE VILLAGE OF
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of
Elk Grove Village, as said Commission' s regular meeting , have heretofore
considered a proposed amendment to said Commission's rules and regulations;
and
WHEREAS, the Police and Fire Commission have submitted to the President
and Board of Trustees a copy of said amendment, which amendment the President
and Board of Trustees have considered and hereby declare that said amendment

is necessary and will serve the best interests of the residents of the Village C
of Elk Grove Village;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties , Illinois, as
follows:

1 . That the Proposed Amendment to Section 1 - Residence, of Chapter 2

(Applications) of the Rules and Regulations for the Board of Fire and Police
Commissioners of the Village of Elk Grove Village, which amended section reads
as follows : I'
Section 1 . - Residence. Applicants must be citizens of the United
States and agree in writing to be actual bonified residents of an area
within a radius of fifteen (15) miles of the Municipal Building, 901
Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois. This residence must
be established within the expiration of the probationary period and
will also apply to officers whose appointments have vested.

2. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval , according to law.
