A RESOLUTION 1N OPPOSITTON TO PETITTON
FOR REZONING NO� 2332 TO THE BOAPD OF
SUPERVIS PSj QQQQ COUITY ILIIEOIS
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Villye that there is
a proposed map amendment to DuPage County Zoning Ordinarco, re--
zoning from R-2, Single Family Residence, to M-2, Manufacturing
District, and a variation in yard set back from residential
district boundary lines on the property hereinafter described:
Lot 2 in Devon' s Five Acre Farms, being a sub-
division in Section 2, Township 40 North, Range
11, East of the Third Principal Meridian, ac-
cording to the plat thereof recorded June 10,
1947 , as Document i522698 and Certificate of Cor--
rection dated August 12, 1947 and recorJed August
13 , 1947 , as Document Q526985 , in DuPage County,
Illinois,
said property being situated on the south side of Devon Avenue,
1900 feet east of Route 83 in DuPage, County; and
WHEREAS, the proposed use of said premises constitutes a junk-
yard under the definitions of same contained in the zoning ordinances
of Elk Grove Village; and
WHEREAS, said property is within one an& one-half miles of the
Village limits of Elk Grove Village, it being most proximate to the
property in question; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has a comprehensive
plan including the area in question, and is a zoned municipality
within tne meaning of the statute ; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPago, Illinois , believe the
proposed use and rezoning of the property will adversely effect. the
