A RESOLUTION COMMENDING GERALD MILLIN
WHEREAS , the Village of Elk Grove Village wishes to express its
heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Gerald (Jerry) Millin for outstanding
services rendered to the common welfare of the residents of the Village of
Elk Grove Village and the Elk Grove Village Fire Department , and
WHEREAS , Gerald Millin has been a Division Fire Marshall for the City
of Chicago and has recently retired from that position, and was instrumental
in the early years, 1959 through 11)65, in the development of the Elk Grove
Village Fire Department , and
WHEREAS, through his guidance , responsible know how, leadership and
expertise, a training program was established for over 40 men in the early
years of the fire department, and lie attended and offered guidance at major
fires in the area, and
WHEREAS, it is both fitting and proper that Gerald Millin be recognized
for these very special contributions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village: , Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1 . That Gerald Millin is hereby commended for his services which
have played a vital and important role in the lives of this
community.
Section 2. That, on behalf of thE! Village of Elk Grove Village, we hereby
extend to him our sincerest wishes for the health and happiness
which he so richly deserves.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after- its passage and approval according to law.
