A RESOLUTION IN OPPOSITION TO PETITION

FOR REZONING NO. 2377 TO THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village that there
is a proposed map amendment to DuPage County Zoning Ordinance,

rezoning from R-2, single family residence, to M-1, Manufacturing
District, and a variation in regulations along District boundaries
on the property hereinafter described:
Parcel 1: The South 427 .4 feet of Lot 1 in Devon
5 Acre Farms, being a subdivision in
Section 2, Township 40 North, Range 11,
East of the* TPM, according to the Plat
t1treof, recorded June 10, 1947, as
Document 4522.698, and certificate of
correction recorded August 13, 1947 as
Document x$526985, in DuPage County, Ill. ,
and also the rezoning from R-2, single family residence district
to M-1, Manufacturing District:, on the property hereinafter
described:
Parcel 2: Parcels 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Kapolzinske ' s
Assessment: Plat in the North Half of Section 2 ,
Township 40 N. Range 11 East of the Third
Principal Meridian, in DuPage County, Illinois ;
Also, Lots 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13
14, 15- anc. 16 in Devon 5 Acres Farms in the
North Half' of Section 2, Township 40 North,
Range 11., East or the Third Principal Meridian
in DuPage County, Illinois, and also: the
East 120 feet of the North 413 feet of the
west 1/4 cf the northeast 1/4 of Section 2 ,
Township 40 North, Range 11, East of the
3rd P.M., DuPage County, Illinois,
said property being situated on the south side of Devon Avenue, on
both sides of Ellis Street; and
WHEREAS, the DuPage County Zoning Board of Appeals held a
public meeting according to law and recommended that such rezoning
not be granted; and
WHEREAS, the Fctitioner for said rezoning has failed to
specify the proposed use for the above described property '
under an M-1 district; and
WHEREAS, said property is within one-and one-half miles
of the Village Limits of Elk Grove Village, it being most
proximate to the property in question; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has a Comprehensive
Plan including the area in question, and is a zoned municipality
within the meaning of the statutes ; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois,
believe that the rezoning of the property and the contemplated
use thereon could adversely affect the hEa1th, safety and welfare-
of the residents of both Elk Grove Villa ge and DuPage County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board
of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook
and DuPage, Illinois, as follows :
Section 1: That it wishes to register its official
objection. to the Board of Supervisors, DuPage County, to any
proposed map amendment and variation to the DuPage County zoning
ordinances aforementioned, and contends that such action will
adversely affect the public benefit.
Section 2 That this official resolution shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage and approval according
to law.
Section 3 : That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to
submit a certified and official copy of this resolution to the

County Board of Supervisors, DuPage Countv, Illinois ; Attention-
Ray W. McDonald, at the following address :
