A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION FOR ELK GROVE HIGH SCHOOL JAll BAND
WHEREAS, it should be known that the Village of Elk Grove Village
wishes to express its congratulations to the Elk Grove High School Band
for its outstanding performance on August 8, 1969 at the Illinois State
Fair participating in the Salute to Youth Day to a capacity crowd of
70,000 spectators; said Band winning the highest honor.
WHEREAS, Douglas Peterson, Musical Director is to be congratulated
for his direction.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees
of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Page,
Illinois:
Section 1 : That the Elk Grove High School Jazz Band is hereby
congratulated and commended for its outstanding performance in the
Salute to Youth Day at the Illinois State Fair and receiving the top
honors.
Section 2: That , on behalf of the Village of Elk Grove Village,
we hereby extend to Musical Director, Douglas Peterson, our congratulations
and commendation.
Section 3: That this resolution shall bee in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval according to law.
PASSED this 19th day of August, 1969.
