RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE VOTES CAST AT THE REGULAR ELECTION OF
APRIL W. j967• AND DECLARING THE RESULTS ?THEREOF
WHEREAS, a regular election was held in and for the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, on Tuesday, April 18, 1967,
for the purpose of electing three Village Trustees, each for a four-year
term and one Village Trustee for a two-year term, and two Library Directors,
each for a six year term; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have canvassed the votes cast
at said election and are ready to report;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees of
the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois:
Section 1, That said election was duly held as provided by law.
Section 2. That 2,199 votes were east for Village Trustees in the following
manner:
Ronald L. Chernick
Richard A. McGrenera
Eugene V. Keith
John R. Westerberg
Ralph A. Lewis
George E. Mullen
For Village Trustee for a two-year term:
James R. Gibson
Marvin Maier
Harry R. Mikkelsen
75 defective ballots were cast and not counted.

Section 3. That 2,191 votes were cast for Library Directors in the following
manner:
Grover A. Streich
Barbara W. Walsh
Edward Skubic
Frank Hines

Robert W. Bitte
George Mullen
Ralph Lewis
Alvin Krasnow
Janet Cimino
Joseph Scotkovsky
65 defective ballots were cast and not counted.

Section 4. (a) Ronald L. Chernick, Richard A. McGrenera and Eugene
V. Keith, having received the highest number of votes, be and they are
hereby declared elected to the office of Trustee of the Village of Elk
Grove Village for a term of four years each.
(b) James R. Gibson, having received the highest number
of votes, be and he is hereby declared elected to the office of Trustee
of the Village of Elk Grove Village for a term of two years.
(c) Grover A. Streich and Barbara W. Walsh, having received
the highest number of votes, be and they are hereby declared elected to
the office of Library Director of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
That all foregoing officials so elected shall qualify in the manner and
time prescribed by law.
Section 5. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect forth-
with upon its adoption and approval according to law.
