A RESOLUTION ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS FOR MOLDED
NEOPRENE JOINT GASKETS FOR CAST IRON SOIL PIPE
AND FITTINGS
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of
Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and
DuPage, State of Illinois:
Section 1. That the specifications for Molded Neoprene Joint
Gaskets for Cast Iron Soil Pipe and Fittings, copy of which is
attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby adopted and made
a part of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove Village.
Section 2. That this resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.

Gaskets molded from a neoprene compound may be used on soil pipe
or fittings having hubs and plain ends made to commercial standard

If the plumbing
contractor elects to use Neoprene Joint Gasket,
he shall furnish the
Building Department of
the Village of Elk Grove
Village with an affidavit from the manufacturer of the gaskets guaran-
teeing that the gaskets furnished will meet
the above requirements.
All joints shill be tight when complete and shall meet the same
hydrostatic test as required by the Village of Elk Grove for other types
of joints in similar locations or class of work.
