RESOLUTION REQUESTING
PLANNING ASSISTANCE
WHEREAS, the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Elly
Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, has, by Ordinance,
provided for the creation of an official Village Planning Commission
in conformity with the Illinois Enabling Legislation; and
WHEREAS, the President of the Village Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois, has appointed nembers of
the Village Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, said Village Planning Commission is now duly consti-
tuted and operating;.and
WHEREAS, said Commission has determined that for the orderly
future growth of the Village of Elk Grove Village it is necessary
that a comprehensive community planning be undertaken; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village has a population of
less than 50,000 and does not have sufficient finances to pay for
all of said comprehensive community planning; and
WHEREAS, the Village Planning Commission has requested the
Village of Elk Grove Village to request the Illinois Board of Econo-
mic Development Board (the official state planning agency for the
State of Illinois) to enter into a contract with the Housing and
Home Finance Agency for Urban Planning Assistance for the Village of
Elk Grove Village, Illinois, under the provision of Section 701 of
the Federal Housing Act of 1954, as amended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village of Elk Grove
Village, Illinois, -request that the Board of Economic Development
(the official state planning agency for the State of Illinois) make
application to the Housing and Home Finance Agency for Urban Planning
Assistance for the Village of Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village of Elk Grove Village
provided 33 1/3p of the cost of `thhe proposed planning work.
