A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PREVAILING WAGES
(CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE)
WHEREAS, Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 48, 39s-1,
393-12, Prevailing Wage Law, as amended August 8, 19619 requires
that the public body awarding any contract for public work or
doing the work by day labor shall ascertain the general prevail-
ing hourly rate of wages for employees engaged on such work, and
WNEREA34, the Statutes further provide that said rates
of pay be publicly posted and/or kept available for inspection by
any interestedarty and a certified copy thereof promptly filed
in the office of the Secretary of State;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1: That the determination of the prevailing
wages as set forth below are the prevailing hourly rates of wages
being paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics engaged in the
construction of streets or public buildings coming under the jur-
isdiction of the President and Board of Trustees:

Section 2. That nothing herein contained shall be con-
strued to apply to the prevailing hourly rate of wages in the
locality for employment other than public works construction as
defined in the Act.
Section 3. That the Village Clerk be and she is hereby
authorized to file a certified copy of this resolution with the
Secretary of State.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
