RESOLUTION NO. 1�3
WHEREAS, the present: essential character of the Northwest
Sector of Cook County is one comprised of single-family, owner oo-
cupied dwelling units, and
WHEREAS, the lands in the Northwest area of Cook County
are being developed at an accelerating rate, often without con-
sideration of municipal facilities or corporate boundaries, and
WHEREAS, both the County authorities and the Corporate
authorities of the several municipalities in this area have been
petitioned to amend zoning maps in such a manner as to change the
character of the entire area by increasing the proportion of
multiple -family dwellings,
NOW, THEREFURE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DuPage, Illinois=
Section 1. That the Village of Elk Grove Village hereby
requests that great caution be taken by the Cook County Board of
Commissioners and their advisory bodies in considering zoning
changes which would result in altering the essential character
of the area or which would substantially increase the established
population density standards.
Section 2. That the Village of Elk Grove Village sup-
ports the Village of Arlington Heights, position in this matter
as expressed in their Resolution of February 4, 1963.
Section 3. That the Village Clerk be instructed to
transmit a certified copy of this resolution, upon its passage
and approval, to the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals and to
the Cook County Board of Commissioners.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according to
law.
PASSED this 4th day of April, 1963.
Vote: Ayes: Trustees Dillon, leith, Pahl, Smith, Young, Zettek.

At their regular meeting held on Tebruary 4, 196%
the President and members of the Board of Trustees adopted the en-
closed Resolution vhieh vas transmitted to the Conic County Louring
Board of Appeals and the Cook County Board of Commissioners.
They also directed the Clerk to transmit coples
of this Resolution to all members of the Northwest Manieipal Con-
ference with the request that they take similar action concerning
multiple -family rezoning in the County, if they see fit.
