A RESOLUTION COMMENDING CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT 59
FOR PERMITTING VILLAGE BOARD MEETINGS ON THEIR PREMISES
WHEREAS, the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of
Cook and DuPage, Illinois, has, because of the lack of a suitable
public building, been unable to hold regular Village Board and
committee meetings on premises owned by it, and
WHEREAS, Consolidated School District 59, which School
District encompasses the Village of Elk Grove Village, has per-
mitted said meetings to be held on school premises, and
WHEREAS, it is no longer necessary or appropriate for
said meetings to be continued to be held on school premises since
the Village of Elk Grove Village has recently constructed a Vil-
lage Hall and Fire Department, an d
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the Village of Elk
Grove Village comment on the public services rendered by one cor-
porate body to another,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DuPage, Illinois:
Section 1. That the Village of Elk Grove Village does
herby express its gratitude for and on behalf of itself as a
corporate body and as representative for the people within its
boundaries and limits to Consolidated School District 59 for its
generous indulgence in permitting the Village to have its regular
meetings and committee meetings at the Ira Rupley School and on
other school premises during the preceding years.
Section 2. That the Village of Elk Grove Village
wishes to commend personally the President and members of the
Board of Consolidated School District 59, both present and past,
for their cooperative spirit in working with both the present and
past presidents and boards of trustees, not only as to the above
but as to other matters, and the Village expresses a willingness
to be of service in any way possible, fully realizing that the
public good is served in this way.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force
aid effect from and after its passage and approval, according to
law.
