THE VILLAGE OF ELI. GROVE VILL.1'`ri_', I! THE
CHICAGO ST. 7ATRICKIS DAY PARADE
YHERQS, the local chapter of the Lions, a non for pro-
fit corporation, is requested to represent the Village of Elk Grove
Village by the preparation and entry of a float to be used in a St.
Patrickts Day Parade on .March 17, 1962 as a community service to
said Village, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be to the best interests of the
Village of Elk Grove Village and its residents that said Village
be represented in said Parade by an appropriate float so that the
public generally is informed of said community and its progress,
and
WHER7AS, it is beneficial to the interest of the Village
of Elk Grove Village that the nares of the Village be held in high
regard and esteem by the public generally, and
WHEREAS, it is felt that the entry of a float in the
Chicago St. Patrick's Day Parade will enhance the prestige and
public acclaim of said Village,
Nov, THE :EFOU, B2 IT RESOLVED by the President and
Board of 'Trustees of the Villa, of Elk Grove Village, Counties
of Cook and DuPa;ge, Illinois:
Section 1. That the local chapter of the Lions oper-
atin; in the VillaSe of El'_: Grove Village is hereby authorized to
enter a float in the Chicago St. Patrickts Day Parade held on
parch 17, 1962, with such deccr as may be appropriate to the
Parade anC ainropriate to advertising the nave of the Villa ,e of
Elk Grove Village to the public ;generally.
Section 2. That the Villag_ of Elk Grove Village wishes
to compli:,nent the local chapter of the Lions operating within
the Village for its community service in so representinZ the
Village.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passa,;e and approval, according to
lair.
