Now therefore, be it resolved by the President and Hoard of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and Du Pages Illinoiss 1. That the Village President of the Village of Elk Grove Village and Clerk are hereby authorised to sign an agreement with the Village of Schaumburg„ a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth. 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. Passed and approved this 20th day of Septembe; 1962. sl James R. WHEREAgs The Village of Elk Grove Village does have a sufficient #taff and equipment to receive calls from residents of the Village of Schaumburg with the purposes in mind of relaying some to squad cars operated by the Village,of Schaumburg when their "4Loe officers are not available to receive the telephone calls -Airo tly. WWMEAS. it is to the beat interest of both villages and the interest of economy to fully utilise their staff and equip - mint to the boat Loterer.ts of both. Nov therefore it is armed by and between the Village of Schaumburg and the Village of Elk Grove Villages 1. That the 'Village of Schaumburg is to install or cause to be installed in the Village Hall in the Village of Elk Grove Village such telephone equipment as is necessary to accomplish the purpose of relaying the oalls of its residents via the Elk Grove police radio to squad care owned and operated by the Village of Schaumburg.. cam. That the police department of the Village of Elk Grove Villa s 1 res ive c direa•r,.:3 o 1t by r s is the Vi re o3 Saha m g aa] rig for poi ae aid an 1 ermat t and to transmit said calls for police aid by radio transmission to squad oars for the Village of Schaumburg for action by them, when the Village of Schaumburg does not have its own policemen on duty to receive sold calls. 3. That in the event the police of the Village of Elk Grove Village are not able to successfully transmit the above calls for police aid, it shall transmit them to the Cook County polios and that its responsibility for the communication and transmission of said calls shall terminate either upon the successful trap mision of them via radio to the Schaumburg police squad cars or communication to the Cook County polies, in the event said communication to the squad car is not successful. 4, The Village of Schaumburg agrees to indemnify the Village of Elk Grove Village for and from any and all causes of action directed against them because of the failure to transmit t.ae message& of its residents for any reason whatsoever. 5. That the Village of Schaumburg will pay to the Village of Elk Grove Village the sum of $125.00 a month for answering and relaying the aforementioned police communication, whieb amount shall be paid by the first of the month cossaencing on the day of , 1962. 6. This agreement &hall extend and be binding on both parties for a period ending one year from the date hereof, but may be terminated by either party upon 60 days prior,advance, written notice to the village clerk of either village at the office customarily occupied by him. 7. This agreommt shall be in full force and effect frosa and after the signing by both Village Presidents in accord- ance with the authority granted them by resolution of their respective boards of trustees.
