Resolution No. 1-57
RESOLUTION canvassing the vote
cast at the regular election on
April 16, 1957, and declaring the
results thereof.
WHEREAS, a regular election was held in and for the Village of
Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois on Tuesday, April ib, 1957 for
the purpose of electing a President, Village Clerk, three Trustees and a
Police Magistrate, and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have canvassed
the votes cast at said election and are ready to report,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and
Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County,
Illinois-,
Section 1. That said election was duly held as provided by law.
Section 2. That 48 votes were cast as follows:
FOR PRESIDENT:
Charles A. Hodlmair,Sr. received 45 votes
FOR VILLAGE CLERK:
Margaret C. Petrie received 45 votes
FOR TRUSTEES: (Three to be elected)
Morgan P. Burke, Jr. received 45 votes
James L. Carroll received 45 votes
Leonard A. Scharringhausen received 45 votes
FOR POLICE MAGISTRATE:
William N. Glab received 45 votes
Three defective ballots were cast and not counted.
Section 3. (1) CHARLES A. HOD1Jv1AIR, SR, having received
the highest number of votes be and he is hereby declared elected to the
office of PreLdent of the Village of Elk Grove, Village, Cook County, Illinois,
( 2) MARGARET C. PETRIE, having received the highest number
of votes be and she is hereby declared elected to the office of Village Clerk

of the Village of Elk Grove VUlage, Cook County, Illinois

(3) MORGAN P. BURIKE. JR., JAMES L. CARROLL and
LEONARD A. SCHARRINGHAUSEN, having received the highest number
of votes be and each of them is hereby declared elected to the office of
Trustee of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County, Illinois .
(4) WILLIAM N. GJ.AB, having received the highest number of
votes be and he is hereby declared elected to the office of Police
Magistrate in and for the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook County,
Illinois.
That all the foregoing officials so elected shall qualify in the
manner and time prescribed by law.
Section 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect
forthwith upon its passage and approval according to law.
PASSED: this 22nd day of April, A. D. 1957.
