Home My WebLink AboutRESOLUTION - 24-15 - 5/12/2015 - CANVASS OF ELECTIONS APRIL 7, 2015RESOLUTION NO. 24-15 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RESULTS OF THE CANVASS CONDUCTED BY THE CANVASSING BOARD OF THE COOK COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE OF THE VOTES OF THE CONSOLIDATED ELECTION FOR VILLAGE OFFICIALS HELD ON TUESDAY, APRIL 7, 2015 AND PROCLAIMING THE RESULTS WHEREAS, a Consolidated Election was held in and for the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois, on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 for the purpose of electing three (3) Village Trustees - each for a four (4) year term; two (2) Library Trustees - each for a six (6) year term; one (1) Library Trustee — for a two (2) year term; and WHEREAS, the Cook County Clerk canvassed the results of the election and as required by Statute transmitted the following totals to the Village Clerk. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as follows: Section 1: That said election was duly held as provided by law. Section 2: That a total of 1,703 ballots were cast in the following manner: For the Office of Village Trustee: Sam Lissner 1,383 James P. Petri 1,367 Nancy J. Czarnik 1,480 For the Office of the Library Board of Trustees (six (6) year term): Sheryl L. Stogis 1,403 Donald Lee Henderson 1,262 For the Office of the Library Board of Trustees (two (2) year term): T.R.Johnson 955 Michael A. Urban 644 Section 3: That the Proclamation of the Canvassing Board is hereby accepted in total. Section 4: That Sam Lissner, .Tames P. Petri and Nancy J. Czarnik received the highest number of votes for the Office of Village Trustee and they are hereby declared elected to the Office of Village Trustee of the Village, of Elk Grove Village for a term of four (4) years. Section 6: That Sheryl L. Stogis and Donald Lee Henderson received the highest number of votes for the Office of Library Board of Trustees and they are hereby declared elected to the Office of Library Trustee of the Village of Elk Grove Village for a term of six (6) years. Section 7: That T. R. Johnson received the highest number of votes for the Office of Library Board of Trustee and is hereby declared elected to the Office of Library Trustee of the Village of Elk Grove Village for a term of two (2) years. Section 8: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after it passage and approval according to law. VOTE: AYES: 6 NAYS: 0 ABSENT: 0 PASSED this 12" day of May 2015.
