FIRE TAX BOARD
DEC. 29 1998
Meeting called to order at 7:10 p.m.

Bernie Goss made a motion to include in the 1999 /2000 budget package
leather structural firefighting boots, at $200.00 per item. This motion was
seconded by Phil Haverland. Discussion followed, and the motion was
unanimously approved.The budget package was then presented by Bernie
Goss to Mike Rogers.
The budget packages for gear bags and rainsuits was turned in by Bernie
Goss. Also, the budget packages for the multi purpose tool, and rear vision
camera and monitor was turned in by Bill Reid.
A memo from Mark Sellars asking the board to include in our budget wall-
mount T.V. stands, and T.V.'s for the workout rooms. These two items were
tabled until the next regular meeting. Mark Sellars also asked us to include
in the budget a Plastic laminating engraving machine. It was agreed that
Mark will be notified to submit the machine in the 2000 /2001 FFI budget.
Discussion began about including in our budget an operating supplies
account for FFI. Motion by Bill Reid to fund an operating supplies account
for $3000.00 to be included in the 1999 /2000 budget. Motion seconded by
Al Mergens, then approved by the board. Mike Rogers is to notify Deputy
Riddle of this change.
Bill Reid made a motion that the FFi board purchase 15 sets of mattresses
and box springs for the bunkrooms. Seconded by Bernie Goss. Discussion
followed, motion was approved. Bill Reid and Al Vrshek will put this
budget package together.
A motion by Bernie Goss to purchase 3 sets of helicopter zoning lights for
the price of the original budgeted lights. Al Mergens seconded. Discussion
followed, and the motion was approved.
Motion to adjourn by Al Mergens, seconded by Phil Haverland, motion
approved, meeting was adjourned at 7:55 P.M.
