Veterinary Out-Patient Clinic
The Plan Commission, acting as a Zoning Commission, conducted a
Public Hearing on September 13, 1976 to consider a Text Amendment to
the Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance No. 842, Section 5.5 B-2 General
Business District, Paragraph 5.52, Subparagraph B, Permitted Uses . The
public transcript is on file and identified as Docket 76-8.
The Plan Commission's original decision was to recommend against
the Text Amendment, but after further consideration felt there was no
conflict in that the veterinary use, with appropriate safeguards , should
be allowed in the B-2 Zoning District. The use as proposed provides a
service closely related to and compatible with, the permitted uses
already recited in the B-2 section of the ordinance. It is not similar
to, nor does it pose problems like those associated with the uses
prohibited in this section of the ordinance. The Commission recognizes,
however, that special safeguards or conditions are desirable to prevent
