HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLAN COMMISSION - 10/18/1978 - STAPE SUBDIVISION Minutes Elk Grove Village Plan Commission October 18, 1978 The regular meeting of the Plan Commission was. called to order by Acting Chairman Hauser at 8: 10 p.m. on Wednesday', October 18, 1978 in the Multi- Purpose Room of the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue. MEMBERS PRESENT: MEMBER ABSENT: Edward Hauser, Acting Chairman Leah Cummins , Secretary John Glass George Mullen STAFF PRESENT: James Petri Richard M. Finn, Orrin Stangeland Administrative Assistant STAPE Subdivision Frank R. STAPE Builder, Inc. , purchase contractor of the 120 acre Schmidt Farm, was seeking approval of the final plat of subdivision. The subject property is located north of Nerge Road, east of Plum Grove Road and south of Section 23. Hauser began the discussion by noting that the STAPE Builder had resubmitted a revised final plat of subdivision for the 120 acre Schmidt Farm. Hauser also noted that the petitioner had submitted a letter detailing the changes that were made from the preliminary plan. Hauser continued by noting that the revised plat of subdivision had been approved by the Building Department and the Village Engineer. At that point the Plan Commission members reviewed the revised plat of subdivision. Joseph Hanlon, representing the petitioner, stated that the revised plat of subdivision had been reduced by two lots . He noted that with the reduction there was now 406 building lots . He further stated that the detention area was back to the original slope and the original park area that was shown on the preliminary plat was now reflected on the final plat of subdivision. Hauser asked what the petitioner's plans were for improving the property. Hanlon responded by stating that it was the petitioner's intent to totally improve the subdivision before June 1 , 1979. At that time, the petitioner would develop approximately 100 lots and sell the remainder of the lots to other developers in blocks of one hundred. At that point, Glass moved to recommend approval of the revised preliminary plat of subdivision, dated October 12, 1978. Petri seconded the motion. Stangeland stated that he wished to publicly acknowledge the cooperation of the developer in effecting several major changes . All present voted "Aye". Higgins Industrial Park Un•i,t- No.-179 Hauser noted that the Engineering and Building Departments had reviewed and approved Higgins Industrial Park Unit No. 179. Mullen made a motion to recommend approval of the plat. Petri seconded the motion. All present voted "Aye". 0 Plan Commission Minutes - 2 - October 18, 1978 Perrie Grove - Plat of Street Dedication Hauser noted that the Village Engineer had reviewed and approved the plat of street dedication for the Perrie Grove development. He further noted that the streets were already in existence. At that point , Mullen moved to approve the plat of street dedication for the Perrie Grove development. Glass seconded the motion. All present voted "Aye". The meeting adjourned at 9:05 p.m. rSub * d by: Richard M.
