MINUTES
ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION
August 6, 1975
The regular meeting of the Plan Commission was called to order
at 8:30 p.m. in the Staff Conference Room of the Municipal Building, 901
Wellington Avenue.

Discussion : Vale Tract P.U.D.
Discussion of the Vale Tract Planned Unit Development and the
proposed R-5 zoning classification began pending the attainment of a
quorum. The quorum was attained with the arrival of Commissioner Shannon. I
Centex officials -Bilheimer, Ives and Calkins were present for the
discussion. Commissioner Hamilton acted as Chairman in the absence of
Chairman McGrenera. The Attorney and Planning Consultant explained
alternate approaches for the R-5 zoning district applicable to the Vale
Tract development. The Commissioners discussed the alternatives and
various particular problems.
The Commissioners reached agreement on a number of issues
involved in the R-5 proposal , including site analysis , master plan, j
density and open space requirements. The issue of Parks, Open Space,
and Recreation was deferred pending consultation with Park District
officials . A number of additional items are to be researched by the
Planning Consultant with subsequent presentation of recommendations
to the Commission. A special meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 13
at 8 p.m. to continue discussion of the R-5 ordinance and to finalize
the guidelines to be used by the Attorney and Planning Consultant in
the drafting of the ordinance.
Duda' s Resubdivision
Krasnow moved to approve the resubdivision. Klyber seconded.
All present voted 'AYE' .
Higgins Industrial Park Unit 172 Resubdivision
Shannon moved to approve the resubdivision. Krasnow seconded.
All present voted 'AYE' .

The meeting adjourned at 11 :28 p.m.
