MINUTES
ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION
June 4, 1975
The regular meeting of the Plan Commission was called to
order at 8:20 P.M. on Wednesday, June 4, 1975 in the Multi-Purpose Room
of the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue.

Tod Trayser (9:30 P.M.) Administrative Assistant
Due to the lack of a quorum, no official business was
conducted. However, since it is in the intent of the Chairman to
reconvene tonight's meeting at 8:00 P.M. June 5, agenda items will
be discussed and final voting on items will take place June 5.
Correction to Minutes of May 21 , 1975
In regard to the informal discussion with Mr. Sass for a
resubdivision of his property, the 5/21/75 Plan Commission minutes
stated that "the Plan Commissioners unanimously accepted . . ." the
building of a print shop on the property. It is the intent of the
Commission to reword the statement to say that "the Plan Commission
has no objection to the proposed use . . .".
Starr Special-Use Permit for an Antenna: Docket 75-6
Klyber moved that a special use permit for an antenna tower
be granted the petitioner. Hamilton seconded the motion. The following
voted 'AYE' : McGrenera, Hamilton, Klyber; 'ABSTAIN' : Hauser. Chairman
McGrenera said the petition will be discussed further on June 5th.
Text Amendment to Elk Grove Village Zoning Ordinance: Docket 75-7
General discussion took place as to the wording and requirements
for the proposed text amendment to allow miniature golf courses within
the Village. It was felt that the required two parking spaces per hole
is too restrictive and a poor use of land.
Due to the 9:30 P.M. meeting with Centex officials, Chairman
McGrenera recommended that the proposed text amendment be discussed
further at the Commission's regular meeting of June 18th. During the
interim, the wording of the proposed text amendment will be reviewed
by the Chairman and Commissioner Hamilton.

Centex officials present: Robert Calkins, Michael Ives, Steve Billheimer.
Tod Trayser presented a draft zoning ordinance (attached) for a
R-5 Planned Development - Special Use, for discussion purposes .
Bob Calkins said he will review the proposed ordinance before
the June 5th meeting and would like to then.discuss it Thursday night.
Chairman McGrenera recessed the meeting until 8:00 P.M. , June 5th.
