MINUTES
ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION
February 17, 1975
The regular meeting of the Plan Commission was called to
order at 8: 15 P.M. on Monday, February 17, 1975 in the Staff Conference
Room of the Municipal Building, 901 Wellington Avenue.

STAFF PRESENT:
Thomas Rettenbacher, Building Commissioner

CENTEX INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT NO. 197
Hauser moved approval of Unit No. 197. Klyber seconded the
motion. All present voted AYE.
Chairman McGrenera informed the Commissioners that a public
hearing is set for March 17, 1975 at 8:00 P.M. to hear the petition of
George Gaurilos . The petitioner is seeking a special use permit to
construct and operate a restaurant at the southwest corner of Devon
Avenue and York Road.
SPECIAL USE FOR ANTENNA
Northwest Security Systems provided the Plan Commission with
the information requested at the January 20, 1975 public hearing.
Klyber moved to grant the special use permit for the antenna.
Cimino seconded the motion. All present voted AYE.
Wesley arrived at 8:28 P.M.
RAILROAD TRACK
Klyber moved to deny the petition of Podolsky & Associates for
a special use permit to extend a railroad spur along Touhy Avenue.
Hauser seconded the motion.
During the discussion, Wesley stated that the petitioner has
not shown any hardship. The petitioner is looking to increase the
marketability of the property. Grice concurred with Wesley and added
that the petitioner was soliciting a solution from the Plan Commission

to an agreement between the petitioner and Warner-Lambert. The
agreement stated the petitioner will have railroad service to the
Podolsky property via the Warner-Lambert property.
All present voted to deny the special use permit.
ATTENDANCE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Wesley moved if a Plan Commission member is absent from
three consecutive regular meetings , for any reason, he will be deemed
to have submitted his resignation to the remaining Commissioners for
submission to the Village Board. Klyber seconded the motion.
All present voted AYE.
The meeting was adjourned at 10: 18 P.M.
