HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLAN COMMISSION - 12/16/1974 - MARKAY RESUBDIVISION 11 —I �• 07 MINUTES ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION December 16, 1974 MEMBERS" PRESENT: Richard McGrenera Alvin Krasnow Edward Hauser Marc Grice (8:35) William Wesley (10:15) MEMBERS ABSENT: Thomas Hamilton Joseph Cimino Leah Cummins Staff Present: Albert Walla, Building Supervisor Gary Parrin, Administrative Intern Due to the lack of a quorum, no official business was conducted., by the Plan Commission at its regularly scheduled meeting until 10:15 P.M. At that time Commissioner Wesley arrived to consummate the quorum. Prior to Commissioner Wesley's arrival , the Commissioner discussed the extension of rail service to a 9-acre parcel of property bounded by Touhy Avenue, State Route 83, and Estes Avenue with a representative for the owner. The petitioner will request a special use permit to extend rail service along the south side of Touhy Avenue. The tracks would be set back 25 feet from the street. A building immediately west of the petitioner's property prohibits the rail service from being extended in any other manner except along Touhy Avenue. The Chairman told the representative of the petitioner that their initial step would be to obtain a special use application,. from the Clerk's Office. The Chairman then outlined the procedures the petitioner must follow. Commissioner Wesley arrived at 10:15 P.M. Markay Resubdivision Grice moved approval of the resubdivision. Krasnow seconded the motion. All present voted AYE. Higgins Industrial Park Unit 168 The plat showed Unit 168 being partially in the flood plain. Krasnow moved for approval of Unit 168. Grice seconded the motion. The following voted AYE: Grice, Krasnow; NAY: Wesley, Hauser. Chairman McGrenera voted AYE and declared the unit approved. (continued. . . . . -2- Richard's Third Subdivision The plat of subdivision showed the property was partially in the flood plain. Grice moved approval of the resubdivision. Krasnow seconded the motion. The following voted AYE: Grice, Krasnow; NAY: Wesley, Hauser. Chairman Mc Grenera voted AYE and declared the subdivision approved. The meeting ended at 10:35 P.M.
