The joint meeting was called to order by Plan Commission Secretary
Leah Cummins at 8:08 p.m.

1950 Pratt Boulevard
Trustee Petri advised the Plan Commission that a petition for a
special use permit may soon be submitted requesting a retail and
"warehouse club" operation at 1950 Pratt Boulevard.
Conditional Business Use
Chairman Glass noted that the Plan Commission recommendation, found
in the December 1, 1982 minutes, concerning conditional business use
still applies. To reiterate, the Plan Commission recommends that the
following arterial streets be considered for conditional business use:
1) Higgins Road
2) Elmhurst Road
3) Busse Road
4) Devon Avenue (East of Tonne Road)
5) Oakton Street (East of Lively Boulevard)
6) Landmeier Road (East of Lively Boulevard)
7) Nerge Road (East of Rohlwing Road to Devon Avenue)
In addition, the following arterial streets were discussed; it is
recommended that the zoning remain as is until the area is further
developed and development trends can be observed:
1) Devon Avenue (West of Tonne Road)
2) Arlington Heights Road

3) Meacham Road
4) Biesterfield Road
5) Rohlwing Road
6) Tonne Road
Comprehensive Master Plan
Discussion centered on developing a list of aspects which could
be made part of an update of the Comprehensive Master Plan. Suggestions
included:
1) The Official Map
2) Existing Land Use Map
3) Land Use Plan
4) A Natural Features and Inventory Map
5) Thoroughfare Plan
6) Utility Atlas (including watermain, sanitary & storm sewers)
7) Floodplain Map
8) Soils Map - Geological Surveys
9) Park District Plans
10) School District Plans
11) Aerial Survey of Flooding Conditions
12) Proposed Church Properties
The Village Attorney will be asked to render an opinion on whether
it is possible to update and approve portions of the Comprehensive Plan
on an individual basis in lieu of updating the entire plan at once.
Pending direction from the Attorney on this matter, the Plan Commission
will begin to review land inventories and other items.
Great West Industrial Subdivision
Chairman Glass and Secretary Cummins signed the Great [Vest Industrial
Plat of Subdivision previously approved by the Plan Commission on
December 1, 1982.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:48 p.m.
