ELK GROVE VILLAGE POLICE PENSION FUND
November 17,2017.
The interim meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Elk Grove Village Police Pension Fund was held on
Friday,November 17,2017 at 7:30 am at 901 Wellington Avenue, Elk Grove Village, Illinois,
CALL TO ORDER: President Christopher Torres called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m.
ROLL CALL:
Present: President Christopher Torres, Secretary Jason Gottwald, Assistant Secretary Warren
Moody and Trustee Stephen Schmidt(quorum present)
Absent: Vice President Allan Ambrose
Also Present: Brian Kohler,Elk Grove Village Finance Department
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES:
The Board reviewed the October 17, 2017 meeting minutes. A motion was made by Trustee Moody and
seconded by Trustee Schmidt to approve the meeting minutes as written. Motion carried unanimously by
voice vote.Trustee Ambrose was absent.
RETIREMENT APPLICATION:
The Board was notified that former Police Officer Kristina Jedlink requested a refund of pension fund
contributions totaling$76,547.37. A motion to approve the refund of pension fund contributions to former
Police Officer Kristina Jedlink was made by Trustee Moody, and seconded by Trustee Schmidt.
AYES: Trustees Gottwald,Moody, Schmidt,Torres
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Trustee Ambrose
The Board was made aware of the retirement of Sergeant Randall Nelson,effective November 3,2017.
Sergeant Randall Nelson was a Tier 1 pensioner who accumulated 26 years, 1 month and 25 days of
creditable service. His annual salary was$111,900.00,with an initial annual benefit of$72,735.00. His
initial monthly benefit is$6,061.25.A motion to accept Sergeant Randall Nelson's application for
pension disbursement was made by Trustee Moody,second by Trustee Gottwald.
AYES: Trustees Gottwald,Moody, Schmidt,Torres
NAYS: None
ABSENT: "Trustee Ambrose
PUBLIC COMMENT: None
With no further business to discuss,a motion to adjourn the meeting at 734 a.m..was made by Trustee
Schmidt, and seconded by Trustee Moody. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. Trustee Ambrose
was absent..
The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday,January 9,2017 at 3:30 pm.
