Home My WebLink AboutPLAN COMMISSION - 08/18/1982 - ROAD DEDICATION BEISNER AND BIESTERFIELD/CENTEX HOMES MIDWEST Minutes ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION Wednesday, August 18, 1982 The regular meeting of the Plan Commission was called to order on Wednesday evening, August 18, 1982 at 8:35 p.m. in the dungeon of the Village Hall, next to the jail. PLAN COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: Glass, John R. , Chairman Cummins, Leah, Secretary Mullen, George E. Stangeland, Orrin J. Due to the absence of the staff, Leah Cummins was appointed Recording Secretary by acclamation. Plat of Roadway Dedication - Southwest Corner of Beisner and Biesterfield Roads As a first order of business the Commission examined the plat of roadway dedication covering the southwest corner of Beisner and Biester- field Roads. Jon Wildenberg's letter of August 13th addressed to John Glass was entered into the discussion, to evidence that the Village Engineer had reviewed the plat and found it in order. Accordingly, George Mullen moved for approval, seconded by Orrin Stangeland, and all present voted "Aye", whereupon the Chairman and Secretary signed the linen. Centex Homes Midwest, Inc. "Cluster Housing" Proposal Jon Wildenberg's letter of August 13th addressed to the Plan and Housing Commissions regarding Centex Homes "Cluster Housing" Proposal was the next topic of discussion. All Plan Commission members present indicated a strong interest in the forthcoming meeting between Centex and the Village Board, and by means of these minutes, is requesting to be informed of its scheduled time and place. Individual comments were made about the proposed housing Centex presented to the Housing and Plan Commissions in a recent joint meeting, this being the first opportunity for such a discussion. None of the reactions were favorable to the concept as it was portrayed at that meeting. At 9:45 p.m. , all business having been duly conducted, George Mullen moved to adjourn the meeting; the motion was seconded by Orrin Stangeland, and all present voted "Aye".
