ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION

The meeting was called to order by Secretary Cummins at 8:13 p.m.

By the unanimous choice of all Plan Commission members present, Leah
Cummins was asked to preside over the meeting in the Chairman's absence.

Final Land Use and Zoning Plat
Section 26 - 240 Units
(North of University Avenue) j
Commission members stated that although there was a quorum
present, there would be no action taken as they wished the other
members to also be present when final decisions were made on this
subdivision.
Representatives of Centex Homes presented brief information i
detailing the proposed plans for Section 26 within the A-3 Multi-
Family/Recreational District. Centex Homes responded to written
staff comments. Several points will be discussed between the
Engineering Department and Centex Homes prior to the Plan Commission's I
next meeting on this matter. Staff requested that parking spaces be
drawn in and numbered on the drawings to aid in tabulation, discussion
and analysis. Centex Homes also agreed to re-examine the plans in
terms of space between buildings and rooftop height.

Section 26 - 240 Units (continued)
Discussion brought out different interpretations of the number
of attached units permitted in A-3. Acting Chairwoman Cummins requested
clarification by the Village Attorney be sought. Rettenbacher will
search for the transcript of the meeting during which the point was
initially discussed.
Geinosky requested that the Police and Fire Departments comment
on emergency rear access to the proposed buildings.
Landscape Plan - Burger King
(Arlington Heights Road, in front of the theater)
The Plan Commission requested that the Land and Forestry Foreman
review the landscape plan submitted by Burger King and return his
comments to them.
Southeast Corner (20 acres)
Biesterfield and Meacham Roads
Informal discussion was held regarding possible land use of the
20 acres on the southeast corner of Biesterfield and Meacham Roads.
The use proposed to the Plan Commission was for one-story, low intensity
offices around a lake in a planned unit development. Members stated
that they favor this kind of development and encouraged continuation
of efforts made in that direction.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:05 p.m.
