HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLAN COMMISSION - 10/01/1986 - STRAWBERRY HILL/HIGGINS TOUHY/TONNE Minutes ELK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION Date: Wednesday, October 1, 1986 Location: Council Chamber 901 Wellington Avenue Members Present: Members Absent: John Glass, Chairman David Paliganoff Leah Cummins, Secretary Clark Fulton Fred Geinosky George Mullen Staff Present: Thomas Rettenbacher, Building Commissioner Robin Weaver, Administrative Assistant John Coakley, Administrative Intern Others Present: Stuart Handler, Strawberry Hill Plaza Alan Rosenzweig, Strawberry Hill Plaza James McLennen, McLennan Commercial Properties Co. Rocco Licari, representing Landmeier/Tonne Strip Center Strawberry Hill Plaza: Special Location Plan and Screening Plan A memorandum from Tom Rettenbacher, with an attached letter from Alan Rosenzweig, was read. Tom Rettenbacher explained a problem with the number of parking spaces stated in the letter. Rosenzweig stated that he would modify it. George Mullen motioned to recommend i approval of the plan and Leah Cummins seconded it. The vote for approval was unanimous. Screening Plan: Chairman Glass asked if the townhome residents had agreed to the screening plan. Rosenzweig stated that they had a formal agreement with the Townhome Owners' Association. Following further discussion, Fred Geinosky made a motion to approve the screening plan and Leah Cummins seconded it. The vote for approval was unanimous. Hi ggins/2buh y: Plat of Subdivision Following review of the plat, George Mullen made a motion to - recommend approval, subject to receipt of a positive Soil and Water Conservation District report. Fred Geinosky seconded the motion. The vote for approval was unanimous. Landmeier-Tonne Strip Center: Special Location Plan A special location plan was requested by the Landmeier-Tonne Strip Center. A restaurant has been proposed for the vacant store in the strip shopping center. With the addition of the restaurant, the strip center would need additional parking. - Letters from the strip center owner and the Elk Grove Wesleyan Church next door were presented to the Plan Commission. Following further discussion, George Mullen motioned to recommend approval of the special location plan. Clark Fulton seconded the motion. The vote for approval was unanimous.
