PLAN COMMISSION MEETING July 3, 1969

With respect to the Public Hearing held previously on July 3, Gerald Tvrdy moved
that we annex and rezone the subject property to M-1 with the provision that all
non-conforming uses would disappear prior to January 1, 1971. It was seconded by
Tom Hamilton. Vote was unanimous.
On the Public Hearing held concerning property owned by the VFW, the June 18
letter from attorney Hoffert stating that in his opinion the Ordinance language
was broad enough to encompass the special use requested by the VFW was read to
the Board. After due discussion, Leah Cummins moved that we accept the opinion
of the village attorney and permit a special use. It was seconded by Gayle Bantner.
Mr. Bantner and Mrs. Cummins voted in favor of the motion. All other members voted
in opposition. Said motion was not passed.
Mr. Gerald Tvrdy moved that the village Board hold a Public Hearing to redefine a
special use to include Fraternal and Not For Profit organizations. It was seconded
by Bill Shannon. Vote was unanimous.
On Centex Industrial Park Unit 129 preliminary and final plats, W. R. Ballard moved
that it be approved. It was seconded by Bill Shannon. Vote was unanimous.
At this point Mrs. Cummins left the meeting.
Gerald Tvrdy moved for the approval of the plat of Vacation of Centex Industrial Park
Unit 125. Seconded by W. R. Ballard. Vote was unanimous.
Bill Shannon moved for approval of the preliminary and final plats of Centex Industrial
Park Unit 130. Seconded by Dick Potker. Vote was unanimous.

PLAN COMMISSION MEETING June 19, 1969

The Chairman notified the commission of a public hearing to be held on July 3, 1969.
Dick Potker moved for approval of the final plat of Elk Grove Village Section #17. It
was seconded by Bill Shannon; vote was unanimous.
W. R. Ballard moved for approval of the preliminary and final plats of Higgins Industrial
Park, Unit #9. Seconded by Bill Shannon; vote was unanimous.
Dick Potker moved for approval of the preliminary and final plats of Higgins Industrial
Park, Unit #12. Seconded by Bill Shannon; vote was unanimous.
Bill Shannon moved for approval of the preliminary and final plats of Higgins Industrial
Park, Unit #13. Seconded by W. R. Ballard; vote was unanimous.
The Chairman notified the commission that an attempt will be made to have a special
meeting on Thursday, June 26, 1969 to discuss the Veterans of Foreign Wars public
hearing. The Village Hall will be oontacting the members to make certain that a quorum
will be present.
