HomeMy WebLinkAboutPLAN COMMISSION - 03/07/1968 - PLAT OF APARTMENTS AT KENNEDY & RIDGE e PLAN COMMISSION MEETING March 7, 1968 The members present were: Frank Dillon Tom Hamilton Jack Denny W. R. Ballard Steve Schwellenbach, Chairman After discussion, Frank Dillon moved for the approval of the changes in the final plat of the apartment area bounded by Kennedy and Ridge wherein the street names were indicated and also indication of the location of the building which is to be destoryed by June 30, 1969. It was seconded by Jack Denny; vote was unanimous. The Commission then had a short discussion with members of the Fire De- partment with regard to the duplication of street names now appearing in the village and also the feasibility of future duplications. Jack Denny moved that the Fire Department receive preliminary plats indicating street names and that the Plan Commission await their comments before either approval or disapproval. It was seconded by W. R. Ballard; vote was unanimous. Jack Denny moved for the approval of Higgins Road Commercial Unit 36, preliminary and final plats; seconded by Frank Dillon; vote was unanimous. W. R. Ballard moved for the approval of the final on Alexandria's Sub- division in the Devon-O'HareUnit #12. Jack Denny seconded it; vote was unanimous. W. R. Ballard moved for the approval of the preliminary and final on Centex Industrial Park Unit #77. Frank Dillon seconded it; vote was unanimous. Frank Dillon moved for the approval of the preliminary and final of Higgins Road Commercial Unit 37. Tom Hamilton seconded it; vote was unanimous. Frank Dillon moved for the approval of the preliminary and final of Higgins Road Commercial Subdivision Unit #35. Jack Denny seconded it; vote was unanimous. Tom Hamilton moved that the Village Board arrange for soil maps and proper interpretation of them of all undeveloped areas within the village and all property likely to be annexed in the future. It was se- conded by Steve Schwellenbach; vote was unanimous. W. R. Ballard moved for the approval of the Preliminary and Final on Higgins Road Commercial Unit #34. Frank Dillon seconded the motion; vote was unanimous. PLAN COMMISSION MEETING p. 2 March 7, 1968 Frank Dillon moved for the approval of the preliminary and final plats of Thompson Subdivision in the Devon-O'Hare Unit #2. Jack Denny seconded it; vote was unanimous. W. R. Ballard moved for the approval of the preliminary and final of the Centex Industrial Park Unit 76; Frank Dillon seconded it; vote was unanimous. With respect to the street lighting in Section 15 wherein the village had requested the Plan Commission's recommendation, the Plan Commission does not have any comment with the exception that we feel we are not qualified to give an opinion. It is the belief, however, of the Plan Commission members that a maintenance free lighting standard should be required for all new areas and as it becomes necessary .to replace existing standards that they also be maintenance free.
