MAYOR& BOARD OF TRUSTEES' REPORT 5.ACCOUNTS PAYABLE WARRANT: FEBRUARY 23, 2016 $571,767.58 6. CONSENT AGENDA a. Consideration.to renew a professional service contract to Lauterbach & Amen, LLP of Warrenville, IL to perform the Village's annual audit of financial statements in a total contract amount not to exceed $34,100. (The Village issued a Request for Proposals to audit the financial statements for the fiscal year ending April 30, 2012 and this is the last year of a five year contract. (Lauterbach & Amen, LLP was deemed to be the most responsive and responsible bidder. (Lauterbach &Amen, LLP audits many municipalities with personnel specializing in government accounting. They have demonstrated their commitment by providing quality service with technically competent personnel. (Adequate funds are budgeted in the FY 2016-17 budget. (The Library will retain the same auditor as the Village under a separate contract. (The Director of Finance recommends approval.) b. Consideration of a request to award a purchase contract as part of the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative to Currie Motors of Frankfort, IL in an amount not to exceed $61,793 for the purchase of two (2) Ford Utility Police Interceptors from the General Fund. (The Police Departmentisreplacing two patrol units approaching 120,000 miles. (The Ford Utility Police Interceptors with Police Packages are available through the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) Joint Purchasing Contract from the lowest Page 1 of 4 determined bidder, Currie Motors of Frankfort. IL. (Adequate funds are budgeted in the General Fund. (The Police Chief recommends approval.) c. Cons ideration.of a request to renew a landscape services contract to Sebert Landscaping of Elk Grove Village. IL for the 2016 Turf and Landscape Bed Maintenance - Residential contract in the amount of$156,376. (On February 24, 2015, the Village Board awarded a contract to Sebert Landscaping of Elk Grove Village, IL for the 2015 Turf and Landscape Bed Maintenance - Residential. (The contract provided for an option of four (4) additional renewals through February 28, 2020. (Sebert Landscaping performed satisfactorily throughout the first year of the contract. (The contract period is from March 1. 2016 through February 28, 2017. (The contract amount reflects no economic adjustment over the previous year's contract. (The Director-of Public Works recommends approval.) d. Consideration to adopt Resolution No. 5-16 (attached) authorizing the Mayor and Village Clerk to execute a memorandum of understanding between the Village of Elk Grove Village and Municipal GIS Partners of Des Plaines, IL for support services in connection with a Service Request System Study Collaboration. (The proposed Service Request System will provide enhanced customer service to residents and businesses, as well as enable Village staff to tracking capabilities for requests. (MGP has assisted Elk Grove Village, as well as 13 other communities in collaborating to identify the best service provider and achieve the best possible price. (This Memorandum of Understanding provides that MGP will continue to support the 14 communities during the implementation and will facilitate continued collaboration to leverage buying power and strategic direction for the system. (The Memorandum of Understanding with MGP is effective from the date of adoption to run from January I, 2016 to December 3l, 2017, and can be terminated at any time with 30 days notice. (The Information Committee and Committee of the Whole have recommended approval of this project. (Funds are available in the General Fund account to cover this expense.
