A REFERENDUM PROVIDING FOR A GENERAL ADVISORY REFERENDUM
REGARDING THE UPCOMING RESIDENTIAL WASTE AND RECYCLING
AGREEMENT IN THE VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the
Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, Illinois as follows:
Section 1: That a general advisory referendum shall be held on Tuesday, November 3,
2020, in accordance with the provisions of Article 28 of the Illinois Election Code, 10 ILCS
5/28-1 et seq. for the purpose of submitting the following advisory public question to the legal
voters of the Village of Elk Grove Village:
In the Village's upcoming residential waste and recycling agreement, should the
Village consider charging all residents an increased rate for unlimited yard waste collection
in lieu of yard waste stickers?

Section 2: That the Village Clerk is hereby directed to file this Resolution with the
Election Department of the Cook County Clerk's Office no later than Tuesday, August 3, 2020.
Section 3: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval according to law.
