ORDINANCE 1077 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8, SUBDIVISIONS, <br />OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF ELK <br />GROVE VILLAGE RELATING TO THE PROCEDURE FOR <br />APPROVAL OF SUBDIVISION PLATS AND APPROVAL <br />OF ONE -LOT SUBDIVISIONS <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the President and Board of Trustees <br />of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Cook and DuPage Counties, Illinois, as <br />follows: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 8.007, Procedure for Approval of Subdivision <br />of Chapter 8, Subdivisions, of the Municipal Code of the Village of Elk Grove <br />Village, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />8.007 - Subdivision Procedures.) <br />A. Specific Areas of Responsibility for processing <br />Subdivision Plats: <br />1. The Village Manager is to coordinate and monitor <br />all steps in the process and to keep the President <br />and Board of Trustees informed. <br />2. The Village Clerk is to maintain the official file <br />of formal documents, to secure signatures as required <br />and to record the final plat of subdivision. <br />3. The Village Manager is to review, in consultation <br />with the appropriate Village Department Heads, the <br />proposed subdivision and public improvements for com- <br />patibility with existing conditions and impact on <br />municipal services. <br />4. The Director of Public Works/Engineering is to <br />review all supporting documents submitted with the <br />final plat to assure that they are in accordance with <br />Village standards and sound engineering practice. <br />5. The Plan Commission is to review the proposed <br />development in terms of the Comprehensive Plan, Official <br />Map, and Zoning Classification with special emphasis <br />given to traffic patterns; preservation of natural <br />resources; location of open space and water retention; <br />location of recreational facilities and schools; housing types; <br />and harmony of development with bordering sections of Village <br />and bordering communities. <br />6. The President and Board of Trustees is to act on the <br />recommendation of the Plan Commission and JPZ Committee <br />of the Village by either approving or denying the request <br />for subdivision; however, as a general rule, one -lot/ <br />single -use subdivisions need not be reviewed by the JPZ <br />(Judiciary, Planning & Zoning) Committee. <br />
