ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH A OF <br />SECTION 5.81, PERMITTED USES IN THE I-1 <br />DISTRICT, OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE <br />WHEREAS, the Plan Commission of the Village of Elk Grove Village, <br />at a public meeting duly called and held according to law, considered <br />the question of a proposed text amendment to the Zoning Ordinance <br />which would permit the manufacture of shortening, table oil, margarine <br />and other eatable fats and oils subject to certain processing conditions; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of <br />Elk Grove Village after having considered the recommendations of said <br />Plan Commission find and believe it to be in the best interests of the <br />Village that the Zoning Ordinance be amended as proposed; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the President and Board of <br />Trustees of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and <br />Du Page, Illinois, as follows: <br />Section 1: That Paragraph A of Section 5.81 of the Zoning Ordinance <br />wherein it prohibits the manufacture of shortening, table oil, margarine <br />and other eatable fats and oils not otherwise classified, be and the <br />same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />2096. The Manufacture of Shortening, Table Oil., Margarine, <br />and Other Eatable Fats and Oils, Not Otherwise Classified; <br />provided, however, this provision shall not prevent the processing <br />of said products by a chilling procedure or such other procedure <br />not productive of odor. <br />Section 2: That any person, firm or corporation who violates, <br />disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with, or who resists the <br />enforcement of any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be subject <br />to a fine of not less than $5.00 nor more than $500.00 for each and <br />every offense. A separate offense shall be deemed comitted on each day a <br />violation occurs or continues. In addition to the penalties imposed herein, <br />the Village Attorney may institute any proper action or proceedings in <br />the name of the Village to prevent any unlawful condition from continuing <br />or remaining in existence. <br />
