RESOLUTION NO. 79-75 <br /> A RESOLUTION OFFICIALLY APPLYING FOR BI -CENTENNIAL STATUS FOR THE <br /> VILLAGE OF ELK GROVE VILLAGE <br /> WHEREAS, The Village President of the Village of Elk Grove Village <br /> with the consent of the Board of Trustee, did officially on May 8, 1973 <br /> appoint Trustee Nancy L. Vanderweel , as Chairman, Trustees George T. <br /> Spees and Theodore J. Staddler as members of a Committee to undertake <br /> the planning of a program of celebration for 1976 (The Nation's Bi- <br /> Centennial) ; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Bi-Centennial Committee has contacted individuals and <br /> community groups to organize and make plans to celebrate these occasions <br /> in 1976; and <br /> WHEREAS, some 80 community groups in Elk Grove Village have planned <br /> events for the Bi-Centennial Year, covering some 300 event days. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the President and Board of Trustees <br /> of the Village of Elk Grove Village, Counties of Cook and DuPage, that the <br /> Village of Elk Grove Village does hereby apply for Bi-Centennial status from <br /> the American Revolution Bi-Centennial Administration of Washington, D.C. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall be in full force <br /> and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law. <br /> PASSED this 28th day of October , 1975, <br /> APPROVED this 28th day of October , 1975. <br /> Charles J.
