RESOLTION NO. J <br />U - 7-0 <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE ELK GROVE FESTIVAL CHORUS <br />WHEREAS, The Elk Grove Festival Chorus is an interfaith 70 voice choral <br />group, consisting of members from the combined church and choral groups of <br />Elk Grove Village, and <br />WHEREAS, the first interfaith•C:oncert was organized by the Elk Grove <br />Village Human Relations Committee and presented on May 23, 196; at The Queen <br />of the Rosary Catholic Church in Elk Grove Village and faiths of Catholic, <br />Jewish, Baptist, Methodist, Episcopal and Lutheran were represented, and <br />WHEREAS, The Elk Grove Festival Chorus is directed by Anthony Mostardo <br />and accompanied by Joanne Kalina anc with an instrumental group of local <br />adult and high school volunteers, and <br />WHEREAS, The Elk Grove Festival Chorus have enhanced the cultural act- <br />ivities of the Northwest Suburbs by their musical presentations, and recently <br />presented the ''German Requiem'' with the Northwest Symphony Orchestra, and <br />later presented selections from the ''Student Prince'' accompanied by Louise <br />Canary, in one of the highlights of musical endeavors ever presented in the <br />Northwest Suburbs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the President and Board of Trustees <br />of the Village of Elk Grove Village, that the Elk Grove Festival Chorus is <br />hereby commended and extended our praise and appreciation for bringing <br />enjoyment and a better understanding and acceptance of faiths to our community. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED this 2nd _ day of May 1972. <br />President' <br />v' <br />ATTEST: <br />Village Clerk <br />
