Minutes <br /> SLK GROVE VILLAGE PLAN COMMISSION <br /> Date: Wednesday, August 20, 1986 <br /> Location: Council Chamber <br /> 901 Wellington Avenue <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8:16 p.m. by Chairman Glass. <br /> Members Present: Members Absent: <br /> John Glass, Chairman George Mullen <br /> Leah Cummins, Secretary . David Paliganoff <br /> Fred Geinosky Resigned: <br /> Clark Fulton Orrin Stangeland <br /> Staff Present: <br /> John Coakley, Administrative Intern <br /> Others Present: <br /> John Terzakis, partner with RJT Partners <br /> Viz Ballentino, owner of Peppino's Restaurant <br /> Several people in the audience <br /> • 900 Fargo Avenue - Revised Screening Plan <br /> Chairman Glass read a memorandum from the Building Commissioner <br /> regarding the screening plan. The company requested to replace their <br /> landscaping with a deco link fence. <br /> Clark Fulton stated that the property is not being maintained at <br /> present and a fence would be an improvement. He also raised a <br /> concern that the fence might become an eyesore in the future. He <br /> said that he saw no reason to assume that a fence would be maintained <br /> there. Leah Cummins agreed and stated that she would prefer something <br /> more aesthetically pleasing because the property is across from <br /> residential areas. <br /> Following further discussion, Leah Cummins made a motion to deny <br /> approval of the revised screening plan and Clark Fulton seconded it. <br /> The vote for denial was unanimous. <br /> Chairman Glass stated that the Plan Commission was not opposed <br /> to the intent of the screen plan or the use of a fence. He stressed <br /> the need for a maintenance provision to be included in the plan. <br /> Leah Cummins added that something also should be added to increase <br /> the aesthetic quality of the screening plan because of the residential <br /> dwellings across the street. <br /> RJT Partners - Rezoning from M-1 to B-3 <br /> (Northeast corner of Devon Avenue and Tonne Road) <br /> The Public hearing was called to order at 8:28 p.m. by Chairman <br /> • Glass. <br /> John Terzakis reiterated the request for rezoning and plans for <br /> the subject property. He also stated that RJT Partners is requesting <br /> a variation from the 75 foot setback requirement. <br />
